The Florida Center for Innovation announced it will now be known as the Tradition Center for Innovation (TCI). TCI is a 150-acre privately-owned research park dedicated to drug discovery, immunology and medical devices, and healthcare within the planned community of Tradition in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
“We wanted the research park’s name to reflect the quality of life Tradition and its unique community planning play in providing a great place for scientists to live and work,” said John Del Russo, president of Mann Research Center, speaking on behalf of TCI. “By selecting Tradition as its location, TCI shows its commitment to creating a great place for companies to relocate.”
Tradition, named as one of “America’s 100 Best Master-Planned Communities” by a Houston-based magazine, promotes a “24-7, Live Work and Play” lifestyle with state-of-the-art scientific and medical facilities within minutes from shopping, restaurants, hotels, schools, daycare, recreation and residential areas.
TCI is the East Coast home to world-renowned institutions, including Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies and the Oregon Health and Science University’s Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute. Mann Research Center, a life science research and development complex founded by Alfred E. Mann, and Martin Memorial Health Systems hospital are also anchor members.
