FEP Lay-flat Heat Shrink is a material of choice in applications where non-flammable plastics are required even in high operating temperatures exceeding 400pF (204pC). These products also meet the FAR 25.853(a) and UL-VO flammability ratings. FEP Lay-flat Heat shrink has excellent non-stick properties, which allow it to be a seamless alternative to tapes or other films in composite release aid applications.

Due to flammability ratings, FEP is a leading choice as a material replacement to lower flame rated plastics used in consumer battery packs. These products are also heavily utilized in aerospace applications as a release agent needed to form composites. FEP is an approved contact material with composites. Additionally, it is also utilized in the fabrication of various composites due to its lubricity and ability to withstand elevated autoclave temperatures in excess of 350pF (177pC).
