Denver, CO (PRWEB) May 6, 2010
Picture this: a roaring fire, a cozy lounge area and Denver's top media figures swapping stories while sipping whiskey. Sound like a sight straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting from the 1920's? Actually, you can find this kind of scene just about any night at the Denver Press Club, where patrons including print and broadcast journalists and public relations professionals catch up over sips of Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey, the club's official whiskey sponsor.
"I'm proud that Denver is home to the country's oldest press club, and we work hard to preserve the club's intriguing history," said Carmen Green, Denver Press Club general manager. "Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey holds true to the same ideals that are based on our state's rich past, so they're the perfect fit for our whiskey sponsorship."
Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey was born out of founder Jess Graber's love for the Colorado outdoors and fine whiskey. Stranahan's Denver-based distillery starts its whiskey-making process with Rocky Mountain barley sourced almost entirely from the Colorado region. Producing its whiskey in small batches of about 12 barrels per week, each one aged in charred new oak barrels for a minimum of two years, this recipe results in a flavor as unique as the state in which it's produced.
"At Stranahan's, we're dedicated to supporting the heritage of the Denver community," said Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey founder Jess Graber. "Denver Press Club is one of Colorado's most well-known landmarks, and we're committed to keeping its legacy alive."
