eCareDiary.com, a new website for families coordinating long term care, is named a 2010 Caregiver Friendly Award recipient. The site brings together free tools and resources to help simplify the enormous task of caregiving. A main feature is the medication and appointment management tool enabling families to store and share their loved one’s information in a secure, private place.
“The average caregiver is responsible for over $40,000 in health related expenditures each year, in either personal or directed funds” Says Gary Barg, Today’s Caregiver magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, “This award is designed to help family caregivers recognize and reward those organizations who will care for them in as committed a manner as they care for their loved ones.”
John Mills, eCare Diary Founder and CEO, said, “eCareDiary.com helps simplify life for caregivers by providing tools to help them self-manage care. We are very honored to have won the Caregiver Friendly Award and be recognized for the assistance we provide to caregivers.”
eCareDiary.com brings together tools, resources and the support of an online community to assist caregivers and simplify the enormous task they face. The site was founded by John Mills and Susan Baida who, despite decades of experience in the healthcare sector, found the task of coordinating care for their parents uniquely and unnecessarily challenging. eCareDiary was developed to help caregivers navigate a process often found confusing, difficult and stressful. The site’s goal is to bring long term care into the 21st century by making it accessible, centralized and relevant for today’s caregivers.
