The EP features five songs including the hit single “Everly” which was recorded in Austin Texas with Ramy Antoun, who has played with the Black Eyed Peas, Pat Benatar, Seal, and Sergio Andrades, former bassist for Lifehouse.

he EP, Green, is a culmination of a year’s work and travel. Darry Miller has logged studio time from New York to Los Angeles with some of the country’s leading producers.

Darry Miller’s journey into music started in his basement in front of his dad’s digital recorder. Here, music turned from an academic understanding of notes, melodies, and harmonies into an exploration and discovery of the depths and dimensions of this medium. The basement served as the environment and the digital recorder serves as the tool to turn Darry’s black and white perception of music into a technicolor channel for communicating and organizing messages and sounds. The solitude of the basement and the intimacy created by the digital recorder served as the perfect back drop for Darry to begin writing lyrics that were about his perceptions and dreams of future realities. His lyrics had their foundations in his bubble of understanding about life, love, loss, and the world. He wrote song after song and recorded feverishly.

In 2009, Darry signed with Ripple Creative Entertainment and had the distinct opportunity to record his first single, “Everly” in Austin, Texas. Working with Ramy Antoun, who has played with the Black Eyed Peas and Pat Benatar, Darry got his first taste of what was ultimately his life dream. Along with Ramy, Sergio Andrade, bass player for the rock group Lifehouse, lent his expertise to the single. “Everly” features Ramy on the drums and Sergio on bass. Darry has also spent time in Southern California with Arnold Lanni the grammy award winning producer of Our Lady Peace, Simple Plan, and Kings X . Darry Miller now enjoys performing with a band and has recruited three young, talented musicians to help make his dream become a reality. The Veil members include: Mike Elliott bass guitar, Nate Diehl on drums, and Dylan Madar on electric guitar.

As fans flock to local shows, Darry Miller and the Veil continue to draw in many numbers of supporters, talent buyers, and much attention over the catchy rock and soulful sound of Millers vocals, his sincere lyrics, and the overall composition of the songs.

About “Green”:
Many of the tracks on Green, including "What You Bring", "Let's Let Go", and "Everly", center around love, but more specifically, the idea that fear is a natural part of the process. Redwood takes the listener for a turn as it speaks of 'the open road' and 'getting the hell out'... An upbeat, raw tune that brings people to the understanding that finding ones self and discovering the complexities of the world doesn't always align with comfort and security. Darry Miller was inspired by a traveler he came in contact with who spent months living in the hollow trunks of the Redwood's in California. The EP concludes with the ballad "Ticking All Your Time". Despite the sunny days that come with loving and caring for someone, there is the unfortunate circumstance where, within a second, it all becomes a waste of time. The hope is that one feels a positive impact, grows and discovers more with Darry Miller and the Veil's debut EP: "Green" ------ http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/green/id366396003
