The Whistler Group, Inc., a leading industry supplier of Laser/Radar Detectors and DC to AC Power Inverters is launching a unique GolfDigest® branded golf GPS unit. Whistler has partnered with Mobile Location Media Holdings, Inc. (Molomeho), the master licensee of the GolfDigest brand for golf GPS products, to provide course map data and map management software for the unit.

The GolfDigest GPS model GLF-100 is a unique item about the size of a pager and is powered by (2) AAA Alkaline batteries. A hinged belt clip holster doubles as a secure method of mounting as well as a convenient means for flipping the unit 90° allowing the display to be seen easily without removing the GPS from the holster.

This compact package tells you exactly what you need to know: distance to the front, center and back of the green. The best news is there is no subscription or annual fee with the GolfDigest GPS. Included with your purchase are two downloadable courses from http://www.golfdigestgps.com . The GLF-100 has a high capacity memory that holds up to 32 courses. “It was our goal from the onset to provide a unit for consumers that didn’t require an annual fee and one where the course map data didn’t expire at the end of the subscription period,” states J.D. Davis, VP Sales, New Products for The Whistler Group. Davis goes on to say, “this GPS not only simplifies your game but does so at an affordable price.”

Exclusive to the Whistler model is a Selectable Hole Lock and Automatic Hole Advance Feature for ease of use. Data is provided in yards/meters as Front, Back, and Center of the green as well as a host of additional information such as; hole number, hole par, current shot score, fly distance, local time, and battery status via clever use of a 1.25” backlit LCD.

MSRP on the GLF-100 is $139.95.
