SaltWaterFish.com has unveiled a new website that takes the world of online fish retailing to a new level. With enhanced merchandising features, including easy to navigate categories and search refinements, Saltwaterfish.com has created a site that is unparalleled in ease of use and high quality information about salt water fish.

“In our 10th year, we decided it was time for a facelift, but we took a step further and did a ground-up rebuild, emphasizing on all of the customer focused advances available to us,” said Scott Hughes, CEO of Saltwaterfish.com.

He continued, “We’ve undertaken the long process building on our history as the easiest place to shop for saltwater fish, corals, inverts and aquarium supplies online. We’ve added great merchandising, including wonderful new functions like coupons, group buys, dedicated sale pages, PayPal checkout and more."

In addition, Saltwaterfish.com has an increased focus on aquarium supplies. “For a decade, saltwater aquarium enthusiasts have been relying on Saltwaterfish.com as the best place online to buy marine life,” said Hughes, “and now we have an added emphasis on aquarium supplies. But even better, we have an industry-first 'Fast Track' shipping program that ships select aquarium supplies via FedEx along with any qualifying marine life purchase. It is a very exciting program that allows our customers to take advantage of the most reliable and expedient shipping methods with no additional shipping fees.”

Increased Consumer Education and Emphasis on Sustainability
Saltwaterfish.com has incorporated aquarium enthusiast education and industry sustainability as a core part of is mission. As part of this effort, Saltwaterfish.com has released its “Sustainability Mandate” as its guideline to offer sustainably harvested and aquacultured fish, and as such, has expanded its selection of ORA fish and corals.

“We, the aquarist community, are keepers of a trust. We must conserve the environment that we so dearly love. That is why we have made a major commitment to working with suppliers that support sustainable harvesting of wild fish, and have increased our selection of aquacultured fish. We’ve even increased our own coral frag production so that we offer the finest, heartiest selection of marine life anywhere,” said Hughes.

Continuing with the themes of conservation and education, Saltwaterfish.com is also redesigning its Forum section where aquarists can share tips and opinions on the best care of marine life. But Saltwaterfish.com is creating an entirely new education area that will be revealed next month. When asked about this part of his company, Hughes said, “There is nothing more important to us as a company than making sure that our customers have the very best education regarding the fish and marine life that we sell. An educated consumer buys fish better and creates a healthier tank. That is why we are launching our educational resources pages next month, because we want our aquarists to be the most informed, the most educated and have the most vibrant aquarium tanks in the hobby.”
