Miele, the German premium domestic appliance manufacturer, celebrates its authority in cooking as the Kitchen Appliance Supplier to the BBC Good Food Shows in Birmingham (16-20 June and 24-28 Nov), Glasgow (22-24 Oct), and MasterChef Live in London (12-14 Nov). The partnership extends Miele’s commitment to giving customers the chance to road-test its high-quality appliances at its Experience Centre in Abingdon and the Miele Gallery based in London, and hopes to inspire visitors to develop their culinary abilities.

In addition, the Birmingham shows will feature the MasterChef Experience sponsored by Miele – a series of live cooking events for visitors, hosted by Celebrity MasterChef finalist Andi Peters. Each day visitors will get the opportunity to try out their talents and demonstrate their passion for great cooking through the interactive MasterChef Masterclasses and Miele Cookalong sessions* where they will cook alongside a host of celebrity names and culinary heroes. Famous names including MasterChef: The Professionals judge and Michel Roux Jnr sous chef Monica Galetti, Celebrity MasterChef winner Nadia Sawalha, and 2010 MasterChef winner Dhruv Baker will be showcasing their culinary skills and sharing their tips for success. Visitors can also test their cooking ability to the extreme, facing the infamous Invention Test where they will be given just 30 minutes to prepare a dish using a selection of set ingredients*.

With five interactive live sessions a day, the MasterChef Experience sponsored by Miele will boast 12 state-of-the-art cooking stations for contestants plus a guest station for the celebrity or chef. The kitchen areas will feature Miele’s premium cooking appliances, including the latest steam ovens, intelligent ovens with advanced cooking programmes and gas hobs. Throughout the shows Miele appliances will be used for all live cooking demonstrations by the fantastic line-up of celebrity chefs, including James Martin and the Hairy Bikers.

Chris Wright, brand communications manager at Miele, said: “Cooking is Miele’s heartland and we are delighted to be a partner to the BBC Good Food Shows. Miele appliances are designed to ensure excellence in performance whilst being simple to use, and budding chefs and home cooks alike can be assured to enjoy their cooking experience and be safe in the knowledge their appliances will give them a helping hand to achieve results they are proud to serve and share.”

Those unable to visit the Good Food Shows can still take part in a Miele cookery experience through its range of customer MasterClasses, held at the Miele Experience Centre in Abingdon, Oxfordshire and the Miele Gallery in London. Designed to help and support home cooks through the sometimes daunting process of selecting the right cooking appliances or getting to know their new ones, the Let’s Do Lunch demonstration sessions allow customers to taste the Miele difference and learn about the appliances. Customers can also learn specific culinary skills via the popular hands-on interactive Simply Cooking classes which include Preparing and Cooking Fish, Basic Bread Making and a Men’s Cook School.
