Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) May 10, 2010
OnMessage, a Dallas-based integrated advertising agency, was recently named a winner in the 31st Annual Telly Awards for its work on a creative, long-form (30-minute) infomercial that promotes Golf's MVP, an all-new golf training device.
Since 1978, the Telly Awards has honored the best local, regional and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web. Today, the Telly is one of the most sought-after awards by industry leaders, from large international firms to local production companies and ad agencies.
OnMessage was presented with a bronze Telly in the Internet/Online Video-Infomercial category for the 30-minute infomercial the agency wrote, designed and produced for Golf's MVP. The Golf's MVP (Maximum Velocity and Power) infomercial is hosted by a variety of leading golf experts including six-time PGA Tour winner and network sports analyst, Gary Koch, as well as three-time PGA Tour winner, Gary Hallberg. Throughout the show, a variety of professional golfers and trainers showcase how the training device helps improve a golfer's game by keeping the proper angle and lag in the golf swing. Golf's MVP was inspired by the Iron Byron--the golf industry's gold standard for the perfect, repeatable golf swing. The product leverages patented training technology and biomechanics to: keep the golf swing perfectly on plane and in-the-slot; create a delayed release of the hands; increase club lag for maximum velocity at impact; not to mention add distance to drives and lower scores.
"We are very honored and proud to be recognized by the Telly Awards alongside other inventive campaigns and nationally recognized names," said Jim O'Gara, president and founder of OnMessage. "This award is yet another indicator of our creative team's ability to deliver award-winning work using laser-focused messaging."
On average, more than 14,000 annual entries are received for the Telly Awards. Entries are evaluated by judges against a high standard of merit and are scored on a performance scale. Winning entries are recognized and awarded as silver or bronze winners, based on the combined scoring of the judges who evaluate each entry.
OnMessage adds this award to a growing list of accolades the agency has received from the advertising and marketing industry over the years, including previous recognition of the Golf's MVP infomercial in the 2009 Davey Awards competition.
