SePRO strengthens partnership with Agile Sciences through Board participation and equity investment.

Agile Sciences today announced that SePRO Corporation, an Indiana based life sciences company, has made an investment in the company. Additionally, Bill Culpepper, SePRO’s founder and Chief Executive Officer has joined the Agile Sciences’ Board of Directors.

Last year the companies entered into development and commercialization agreements to leverage Agile Sciences’ biofilm dispersion technology for use in the Turf & Ornamental and Aquatic segments of the agro-chemical markets. Agile Sciences’ proprietary compounds have shown unprecedented activity toward inhibiting and dispersing bacterial and fungal biofilms. SePRO is a recognized and respected leader in the Aquatic and Turf & Ornamental markets.

“We are delighted that SePRO fortified its commitment to our vision by acquiring an ownership interest in our company. SePRO’s decision to invest is especially gratifying because our companies have been working closely together for the past six months. This is the type of collaboration envisioned and facilitated by our business model, so we hope to announce similar progress in the Healthcare, Industrial and Consumer markets as we continue to move forward,” commented Agile Sciences co-founder, Dr. John Cavanagh.

Dr. Harry Garland, the Chairman of Agile Sciences added, “Bill Culpepper is a rare individual who understands approaches to both large and small markets, is a successful entrepreneur, and has always brought the highest levels of ethical standards to his work. He knows how to develop and bring new technologies to market, and will bring a wealth of talent and insight to Agile Sciences through his participation on our Board.”

Commenting on the partnership, SePRO CEO Bill Culpepper stated, “We at SePRO are proud to be partnering with the Agile Sciences team working toward the development of this exciting new biofilm dispersant technology. We believe this promising new technology will have many applications in healthcare, industrial and agricultural markets, including our focus in the Aquatics and Turf & Ornamental markets.”
