Our vision is to help people achieve financial success, and having reliable transportation is a critical step in achieving that goal
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) May 10, 2010
Arizona Central Credit Union recently partnered with the Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG) to offer new program, Wheels to Work. The program helps individuals, that have limited income with minimal to no credit, purchase a vehicle by providing down payment assistance and loan options.
"Our goal is to help 85 people in the next four months improve their finances while they have reliable transportation,” says Lucinda Sinclair, case manager for Wheels to Work. “Living and working in northern Arizona without a car is challenging because of the distance between rural areas, cities and towns where most jobs are located.”
Wheels to Work is relying on several partnerships for its success and Arizona Central is a proud partner of this effort. “Our vision is to help people achieve financial success, and having reliable transportation is a critical step in achieving that goal,” says Kayleen Hagadorn, Show Low branch manager.
Individuals are eligible for Wheels to Work if their income is under a certain amount, based on the number of people living within their household. Wheels to Work is a short-term program through NACOG which is best known for its on-going Homebuyers, Area Agency on Aging, Weatherization and Utility Assistance programs.
