"Our clients' commitment to their clients often goes beyond courts of law into courts of public opinion."
Houston, TX (PRWEB) May 7, 2010
Powers MediaWorks LLC, which advises law firms and companies throughout the United States, has been honored by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP).
The firm won a platinum Hermes Award for a strategic communications campaign developed to support a Texas law firm's two-year investigation of a sophisticated global Internet fraud. International news coverage of the investigation and related civil and criminal prosecutions enabled the law firm to help defrauded consumers recover lost funds without litigation and at no cost to the consumers.
The competition included thousands of entries from the U.S. and several foreign countries, according to the AMCP. Entrants included corporate communications departments, educational institutions, advertising and public relations agencies, and government agencies.
Erin Powers, principal of Powers MediaWorks LLC, said, "Our clients' commitment to their clients often goes beyond courts of law into courts of public opinion. With this project, the law firm raised awareness of a global fraud, helped consumers recover losses, and positively influenced public policy. We are grateful for the AMCP's recognition of our support of the law firm's important work."
