BlueMelon Photo Sharing Launches an Affiliate Program and a User Referral Program

Share Article

BlueMelon has launched a user referral program together with an affiliate program to serve as an incentive for people subscribing for a paid account and to reward existing subscribers for referring new ones.

BlueMelon (http://www.bluemelon.com), the young yet powerful photo sharing application, is now enabling others to earn money by referring users who later subscribe for a paid account. The program is free to join, so there is nothing to be lost and much to be gained.

The means of becoming an affiliate are simple: users register to get a free affiliate account at BlueMelon and are then provided with special links and banners that they can use on their websites or in their newsletters. The possession of a trafficked website is a necessity to qualify for the affiliate program to help reduce the number of potential spamming affiliates. They are also provided with the option of creating their own BlueMelon subscription discount coupons of up to either 25% or $7.5 price discount.

Whenever a user uses an affiliate’s special link to access BlueMelon, a one year cookie is created and if the user registers with BlueMelon within this one year time period, the user is linked to the affiliate. Whenever such user upgrades to a paid account, the affiliate is granted a commission equal to 40% of the account price. If someone uses an affiliate’s coupon, the affiliate is granted a 40% commission lowered by the affiliate-set discount – such commission is granted disregarding any referrals and such coupon can be provided to already existing users as well.

BlueMelon affiliates are provided with an in-house tracking system offering statistics and data that they could never get when using a third-party affiliate service. The commissions are paid out monthly and there is no required minimum value for a payout to be made. BlueMelon is strongly opposed to cheating and spamming and if affiliates are reported to be spamming, their affiliate account may be immediately cancelled and pending commissions may be withheld. The referral program is meant to reward existing subscribers for referring users. Each BlueMelon subscriber is automatically provided with their personal $5 discount coupon. When someone uses such coupon to upgrade to a paid account and get the $5 discount, the owner of the coupon is granted $5 as well. In order to make it simpler for users to use this feature, their registration e-mail may be used instead of their coupon with the same effect. The commission is always made available fourteen days after each transaction and the payouts are issued on request. Spamming is strongly discouraged with this type of coupons as well and may lead to serious repercussions.

"At BlueMelon we are happy to partner with respectable affiliates and to share our revenues with those who help us grow." said Miroslav Liska, the BlueMelon CEO. ”We provide a quality photo sharing solution and we seek to offer a fair and lucrative affiliate program as well. We realize that a quality service brings better conversions for our affiliates and that is also one of the reasons why we are hardly working on further improvements of BlueMelon.”
