The conference Re-engineering the Process and Technology for Collateral Management seeks to address the challenges being faced in collateral management processing. It aims to recognise those methods that serve as best practices in process re-engineering and new technologies for operational efficiency. On Wednesday, 12th May 2010, Capital Marketing Consortium will be hosting a breakfast conference Re-engineering the Process and Technology for Collateral Management in New York City. The event is being held to address the current challenges in collateral management processing. The various panel discussions identify the best practices in process re-engineering and the emerging technologies that are driving firms to become proactive in achieving efficiency in their operations.

The event will include an update on the electronic messaging industry initiatives, a series of panel discussions in which executives from leading financial firms will discuss and debate on collateral management for OTC trades cleared and not cleared at central clearing corporation, technology for margin call and Substitution process, and Collateral Account Management and Reporting.

Headstrong will be represented by Vinod Jain, Managing Consultant at this event. He specializes in business and process consulting in OTC derivatives middle office processing, back office processing and payment systems. Moderating the panel, Technology for Margin Call and Substitution Process, Vinod will be interacting with panel members sharing their opinion on the upcoming challenges to automate the bilateral communication between counter parties, technology impact on the existing processes as well as looking at what would be the next set of logical steps for automation in Margin Call and Substitution Process.

Other speakers include Richard Barton, Director of Product Management Algo Collateral, Algorithmics, Mike Kobida, Director of Financial Management, CME Group and John Templeton, Managing Director, The Bank of New York Mellon. Richard Barton will speak on Electronic Messaging – What’s Next. Mike Kobida will be part of a panel discussion on Collateral Management Process For OTC Cleared And Non Cleared while Templeton will share his expert views in the Collateral Account Management and Reporting by Custodian / Fund Services discussion.

This conference is for operations and technology professionals in collateral management functions at sell side, buy side, asset servicing and custodian firms.
