Suki With A Twist: Part One, an alternate history to Suki V: The Collection, has been released by John Tagliaferro & Create Space. This new work places the characters in a new context of a more libertarian future.

“I am excited that this new series is out, and speaks to a 2030’s society that has many freedoms that we do not yet enjoy, along with responsibilities that current courts allow many to avoid,” said the author, John Tagliaferro, at the announcement of the new book in Arlington, Va., on April 28.

“Western society is already moving toward a society where prostitution, called 'companionship' in the future, and recreational drugs are largely tolerated, but so is failure to pay your debts. In Suki With A Twist: Part One, a new world is experienced through the eyes of a young, professional companion who works for a popular full-service party firm in the Washington, DC Beltway.”

“Even though the profession is legal some who work in it still have problems, like the quest for a meaningful relationship in a world where most distractions are legally available and plentiful. Old stigmas still exist, but for different reasons. Recreational drug users are not looked down on as criminals, they are looked down on when their usage interferes with their work. Debtors are not coddled by government programs into ever longer payment schemes, there are new remedies for that.”

“Books like this are important, because no matter what segment of our society approaches ‘utopia’ there is a downside in another segment,” added Tagliaferro.

“All of the characters from the original series who are mentioned in the Suki With A Twist series are the same characters in this series. They react and look the same. The major differences are in the events, occupations, and Suki’s formal education level.”
