Carol A. Shelly, of Mellon Webster & Shelly, was elected President of the Charitable Foundation of the Bucks County Bar Association.

Carol A. Shelly (http://www.mellonwebster.com/attorneys/Carol-A-Shelly/) of the Law Offices of Mellon Webster & Shelly, PC, in Doylestown, was elected President of the Charitable Foundation of the Bucks County Bar Association. She assumed the role in April, 2010.

The Charitable Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Bucks County Bar Association. The Foundation promotes and supports programs, organizations and individuals throughout Bucks County who are engaged in activities designed to foster respect for the rule of law and the advancement of rights, liberties and protections under the law.

The Foundation also supports activities which have as a principal purpose the advancement of social justice for the individuals, families and communities of Bucks County. Past beneficiaries of the Foundation’s fund-raising efforts include the Bucks County Housing Group, The Have a Heart Foundation, the Lenape Valley Foundation and other similar organizations.

Shelly joined Mellon Webster & Mellon in 1990 and became a named shareholder in 2002. Her practice concentrates in plaintiff representation in personal injury litigation, having tried numerous professional negligence cases to verdict. Shelly is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association of Justice. She also serves as a member of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and was a member of the Board of Governors of the former Pennsylvania Association of Trial Lawyers.
