Philadelphia, PA – Beginning this month, PeopleMetrics will examine nationally recognized companies to find out which are best at amassing loyal customers who will actively promote and defend their brand.
The annual Most Engaged Customers Study evaluates companies based on customer engagement standards developed and tested by PeopleMetrics, a leading research and technology firm that helps businesses reach beyond customer satisfaction and truly connect with their customers on an emotional level.
“In today’s crowded marketplace, customer satisfaction is no longer the gold star; rather it is the bare minimum companies should strive for,” said Sean McDade, CEO for PeopleMetrics. “Connecting with consumers on an emotional level is more challenging than ever. The results of our Most Engaged Customers Study can be extremely telling, from both a business and a cultural perspective.”
Each year, PeopleMetrics ranks the top companies based on their ability to create loyal customers who are passionate advocates for the brand. This year’s study includes an in-depth examination of how client engagement is garnered in Business-to-Business sectors, including professional services, telecommunications and IT services. PeopleMetrics 2010 study also will include 75 brands in the following Business-to-Consumer sectors: Cable and Satellite TV, Auto and Home Insurance Providers, Luxury Retail and Hospitality Providers, Restaurants, Retailers and eRetailers, Supermarkets and Wireless Phone Providers.
The 2010 Most Engaged Customers Study launches in May and findings will be released throughout the summer. Past companies ranked in the study include Google, Comcast, Netflix, Barnes & Noble, The Ritz-Carlton and Abercrombie & Fitch.
