Vinculum Communications, Inc., a global provider of wholesale, business and consumer IP communications services, has announced the launch of its new Vincall API (Application Programming Interface) to provide mobile virtual network operators (MVNO’s), a seamless integrated solution to offer their retail customers new bundled international long distance (ILD) calling services.
As the domestic wireless space further evolves into a global subscriber base, MVNO’s can now offer their subscribers valued added services that extend beyond their current domestic calling reach. Vincall’s API eliminates significant development resources to the MVNO and expedites their time to market by allowing seamless connectivity into Vinculum’s privately owned and operated international VoIP carrier network. This access opens the door to new and lucrative revenue streams by offering wireless customers new attractive international calling plans.
Designed around a simplistic SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interface and a .NET Web Service architecture, the Vincall API uses embedded XML (Extensible Markup Language) to access Vinculum’s global IP network for automated call routing and low cost international call delivery. Validation from the MVNO network is confirmed via IP address and with the added benefit of direct access into Vinculum’s billing engine providing real time call detail and reporting to both the MVNO and end user. In most cases, deployment can take as little ten business days with Vinculum’s engineering staff assisting in all aspects of integration, access, testing and deployment at minimal cost to the MVNO.
“The release of this API provides our MVNO partners an excellent opportunity to quickly connect into a proven international IP network and offer new quality services to their customers,” said Tim Eisenmann, Managing Director of Vincall Services. “With our low fixed pricing structure and extensive global reach, this new offering adds incredible revenue opportunities to our retail services division.”
Vinculum recognizes the MVNO as a unique and new customer segment that will ultimately increase network utilization and provide new revenue streams to increase overall profitability of the company. With virtually unlimited network capacity, Vinculum provides the MVNO and other white label opportunities the benefit of terminating their international traffic to offer world-wide calling access while insuring excellent quality of service.
