Wilmington-based law firm names Matthew Austria as partner, welcomes new associate, Julia Klein, and debuts new Web site as part of expansion of commercial bankruptcy practice

Werb & Sullivan, a Delaware law firm representing clients primarily in bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters, announced that Matthew P. Austria has been promoted to partner at the firm.

Austria's practice focuses primarily on the representation of individuals and corporate clients in commercial bankruptcy cases and related adversary proceedings. Austria regularly represents defendants in preference and avoidance actions brought in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. He also represents creditors on various issues in commercial bankruptcy proceedings including relief from automatic stay, executory contracts and unexpired leases, and administrative expense claims. A graduate of Villanova University School of Law, Austria previously managed the Public Disclosure Department of the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD). He was formerly an associate at Werb & Sullivan.

"I'm pleased to welcome Matt as a partner in our firm and look forward to his contributions as we continue to build our commercial bankruptcy practice," said Duane D. Werb, managing partner of Werb & Sullivan.

According to Werb, Austria's elevation to partner comes on the heels of the hiring of Julia B. Klein as a new associate at the firm. Klein joined the firm last fall as an associate in Werb & Sullivan's Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Department, where she is already involved in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings on behalf of a variety of national clients, with a focus on corporate bankruptcy, restructuring, preference actions and other insolvency-related matters.

In addition, the firm recently debuted a new Web site, which provides detailed information regarding the firm's areas of expertise, representative clients and community involvement. The new Web site is part of a coordinated effort to expand the firm's commercial bankruptcy and corporate restructuring practice, according to Werb.

Werb & Sullivan represents corporate and individual clients primarily in the areas of commercial bankruptcy, creditors' rights, preference and fraudulent conveyance actions, civil litigation, class actions, commercial and residential real estate transactions, mediation, and Delaware business and law practice. The firm is located in Wilmington, Del. For more information, please go to http://www.werbsullivan.com or call 302.652-1100.
