Tampa, FL (PRWEB) May 13, 2010
AMC of Tampa FL has released the findings of a survey of more than 100 Tampa area online job seekers, showing why Florida Gulf Coast job seekers are interested in making a career change.
There were 5 general categories. The survey was based on a random sampling of submissions via AMC Tampa web based assessments. The assessments were completed by professionals who identified themselves as actively in search of a new career position.
Job seekers identified their situations as follows:
1) Unemployed - 50%.
2) Employed with limited advancement opportunities - 20%.
3) Employed with fear of job security - 20%.
4) Employed, ready for a change or not happy in their current situation - 5%.
5) Employed other (provided non-specific data) - 5%.
A spokesman for Tampa based AMC stated, "This survey shows that job satisfaction is still the priority in the minds of employed professionals; with job security coming in a close second. If you look at only the employed job seekers (groups 2 through 5). The predominant category demonstrates that many people feel under-employed."
AMC states that the assessments and overall survey results are not a scientific poll, but feels that it is an accurate representation of how people in the Tampa area feel about their employment status.
