Cooper Industries leveraged an existing accounts payable (AP) invoice automation workflow—designed for paper and electronic invoices—to integrate non-paper electronic data interchange (EDI) and inter-company invoices. Nobbe and Awasthi will discuss how they created a robust, consistent accounts payable workflow and process tracking system based on SAP® solutions that accommodated a wide range of ways to bring invoices into the system—both paper and electronic. They will also discuss how they engaged functional, technical and external partners in a collaborative effort to reach organizational goals.

Accounts Receivable Lockbox: Address Common Process Deficiencies to Take Control

Use of paper checks as a payment method remains widespread, and organizations receiving large check volumes use bank lockboxes. The session will examine common challenges with lockboxes, including resolving exceptions, and accessing remittance images from banks. Standard lockbox handling software provides base functionality to apply customer payments against open invoices. Shannon will show attendees how to leverage the SAP Business Workflow tool and SAP ArchiveLink® software to reduce costs, improve cash flow and increase customer satisfaction of accounts receivable.
