Overcharging is a real threat to boat owners when a higher voltage charge is selected to speed up charging times however, this can be extremely damaging to the battery if the charge is continued after the battery has reached capacity.

To avoid this, CTEK has created the M45 Smart Battery Charger which offers a fully automatic charging cycle - taking regular readings from the battery as it charges and once full, will switch to pulse maintenance in order to keep the battery levels topped up.
