SK brooklyn was born in Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, as George M. Gonsalves, III.

SK brooklyn has been putting focus on his creative side for years, and now presents his new single called So Much, off of the Weight Money Music Project.

Growing up around great sounding music has always been a treat and passion; music is like good cooked food; from sounds of Boy George, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, New Edition, Lionel Ritchie, EL Debarg, and Curtis Blow, just to name a few. Growing up in Brooklyn has allowed SK brooklyn to be around Mercy projects and Fort Green, where artists like Foxy Brown live in his neighborhood, Jay–Z , and Biggie Smalls associated with the same people is a big thing for SK brooklyn. So he began his journey as an artist after needing to grow up quick and stray from a life that could have been the death of him.

Growing up in Lafayette house projects in Bed-Sty was truly do or die at a young tender age of 14. SK brooklyn was shot at the age of 15 and fought the gunmen off to keep from shooting him in the face, after being hit with a 357 from the first shot and taking himself to the hospital to keep from bleeding to death! While in the hospital for a month, he knew a change needed to be made and that change was music. After getting out of the hospital, SK brooklyn dropped back in to high school and did a couple of shows at Martin L. King High school on 66 St and Amsterdam in NY, NY. On his way to class, he would sing to the ladies in the hallway and would get good responses. However, in any business it’s not just the product; SK learned that it is also about the dollars you spend and doors you open from building relationships.
