Vancouver, Canada (PRWEB) May 18, 2010
Belcarra Technologies, a leading developer of USB software and device driver solutions, announced today the availability of USBLAN-FN, an NDIS/CDC ECM USB client function for Windows Mobile and Windows CE platforms.
USBLAN-FN is the most recent addition to Belcarra's line of USB networking solutions, and provides an essential component for Windows-based peripherals to network over USB with all standard host platforms, including Mac OS/X. Implementing the peripheral-end industry standard Ethernet Control Model (CDC-ECM) on Windows CE and Windows Mobile, USBLAN-FN works with existing CDC-ECM class solutions on all major host platforms. In the case of Mac OS/X and Linux, CDC-ECM class drivers are built in. In short, a Windows Mobile or Windows CE handheld can use USBLAN-FN to act as a networked peripheral to any USB host. No other solution is seamless and standard across all platforms
"Belcarra's USBLAN product line is an established and proven complementary suite of CDC-ECM products for Windows desktop and embedded operating systems, with seamless auto-configuration functionality. The addition of USBLAN-FN allows Windows-based handhelds to network across the USB link with all standard host operating systems using a single standard USB configuration, and in particular offer tethering service, to host machines using the standard CDC-ECM protocol" states Bruce Balden, President of Belcarra.
