Ziosoft, Inc., a leader in advanced visualization and functional analytics for the medical care market, announced it recently signed a distribution agreement with Advanced Medical Systems (AMS), Pte Ltd., an established Asia/Pacific medical systems & services company headquartered in Singapore. AMS will distribute and support Ziosoft's Ziostation™ system with PhyZiodynamic™ supercomputing technology initially throughout India, Singapore and Malaysia.

"Medical device analysts are projecting fairly robust growth in the Asia/Pacific area as the demand for healthcare grows," said Romesh Kaul, president and CEO of AMS. "Recent reports indicate the medical device growth rate will be about 23 percent annually in India alone. We expect the demand for advanced functional visualization to experience similar growth and believe Ziosoft supercomputing technology provides the best choice for 3D, 4D and 5D image data analytics."

India will account for 60 percent of heart disease cases worldwide within two years, according to new research by Canadian and Indian researchers published in the Lancet. Cases of cardio vascular disease are expected to hit 65 million annually in India by 2015 (NCMH-Burden of Disease in India-Sept. 2007).

"Ziosoft's CT/MR/ANGIO cardiac function analysis software can play a vital role in early and accurate diagnosis to hundreds of these patients. AMS plans to bring Ziosoft's innovative cardiac function analysis products quickly to leading cardiac therapy providers particularly in India," Kaul said.

Ziosoft's supercomputing technology was originally applied to dynamic, instantaneous analysis of chaotic information in weather which has extremely similar data characteristics to the human body. Over the years, this technology evolved from a large room of host computer hardware to a centralized, CPU-based processing server allowing multiple concurrent users throughout the enterprise system. This has resulted in several significant advantages including non-compressed images producing the highest integrity and accurate image quality, optimized user efficiency and maximum cost effectiveness for an extensive range of clinical applications. It also enables indications-driven workflow and reimbursement.

The technology's supercomputing software architecture is economical and scalable, eliminating the need for costly, multiple proprietary or specialized GPU rendering boards. It integrates seamlessly with standard, off-the-shelf hardware and helps expand the life of existing expensive modalities such as CT and MR.
