Chris Turley will Target Federal Market for First Virginia Community Bank

First Virginia Community Bank is expanding into the federal marketplace with the appointment of Christopher Turley as vice president and commercial lender, specializing in government contractor lending. Turley brings a diverse banking background through his previous position with Chevy Chase Bank, a Division of Capital One, N.A., where he was assistant vice president and special assets officer.

David W. Pijor, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has announced that Christopher O. Turley has joined First Virginia Community Bank as Vice President and Commercial lender specializing in Government Contractor Lending throughout the First Virginia Community Bank lending footprint in Northern Virginia. Turley will be located at the bank's headquarters at 11325 Random Hills Road, Suite 240, Fairfax, VA 22030.

Turley brings a diverse banking background through his previous employment with Chevy Chase Bank, a Division of Capital One, N.A., both in the Retail, Risk Management and Commercial Lending Divisions. He is a Northern Virginian native who grew up in Prince William County, Virginia, and now lives in Herndon, Virginia.

"We are pleased to have Chris as a member of our team," says Pijor. "His business acumen and wealth of experience in his specialized field of lending to Federal Contractors makes him ideally suited for this position."

Turley will be joining the Fairfax and Reston Chambers of Commerce as well as becoming a member of the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) and other various networking organizations throughout the DC Metropolitan area.

Turley earned his Bachelor of Administration degree in Finance from James Madison University College of Business.
