Pearson K-12 Solutions To Work With State as Comprehensive School Improvement Partner

The State of West Virginia has announced the selection of Pearson K-12 Solutions as a comprehensive school improvement partner to turn around its underperforming schools.

State Superintendent of Education Steve Paine said, "With the federal School Improvement funding, we have unprecedented access to resources to turn around the struggling schools in our state. We owe our children a world class education so they will be prepared for college and careers. Pearson is one of the partners that has been selected because they have demonstrated the expertise to coordinate the resources needed to do the critical work of creating systemic change that will result in sustainable change for our failing schools."

"The need to improve low-performing schools is urgent, and we're privileged to have the opportunity to partner with the dedicated educators across West Virginia to help school districts make the changes that will turn these schools around," said Scott Drossos, president of Pearson's K-12 Solutions Group.
