CityMac Apple Specialist and Authorized Apple Service Provider will host AcctVantage ERP for a software seminar on Wednesday, May 26th, from 6PM until 8PM.
A recent survey conducted by the Enterprise Desktop Alliance cited 65% of business IT respondents saying that it costs less to troubleshoot Macs than PCs in their operation. A majority of respondents said that the cost for managing Macs was more than 20% less than PCs. The cost categories surveyed included troubleshooting, help desk calls, system configuration, user training, and supporting infrastructure, such as servers, networks, and printers.
"These types of surveys are very telling in an ever-changing business IT climate," says Dan Beckett, founder and CEO of Beckware LLC., the maker of AcctVantage. "Though our software is functional in both Mac and PC operating systems, we do find that customers and prospects are interested in finding out about the Apple Macintosh platform as a more affordable long term option for their IT infrastructure. Providing an enterprise resource planning software solution that works so well on the Mac, provides added value to an organization that is upgrading legacy software and hardware."
It has been reported that companies are making a shift to replacing outdated equipment with the release of Windows 7, and now Microsoft Office 2010. Older PCs can be much more expensive to repair and maintain. Many IT directors are looking for solutions that offer more cross-platform opportunity, and AcctVantage does just that.
AcctVantage ERP offers an array of sophisticated and powerful tools with access, control, and use of data. With integrated modules in accounting, sales, manufacturing, and distribution, the advanced functionality allows users to do more with less across all areas of operation, allowing customers to actually make use of the data captured.
Early on AcctVantage ERP was developed with Mac users in mind. As it grew, the software evolved so the platform's elegant, intuitive functionality included PCs as well. As a result, the clean look and feel of AcctVantage translates across both Macintosh and Windows platforms. Like the Apple Macintosh itself, AcctVantage ERP provides a simple, effective, reliable, intuitive interface allowing Mac and Windows machines access to information and documents simultaneously.
CityMac offers free daily training sessions on many aspects of Apple hardware and software, as well as one-on-one training sessions. CityMac will occasionally host a software or accessories vendor, specifically for offerings that appeal to the business IT community. AcctVantage is great fit for small to medium size businesses that are outgrowing their existing software solutions. AcctVantage ERP is an affordable solution that is not to be missed.
