Facebook users can now instantly find out just how exposed they are with the changes to the privacy policy. ProfileWatch.org scores user profiles from 0 to 10, and highlights information the user shares with everyone.

Profile Watch launched http://www.ProfileWatch.org for Facebook users concerned about the amount of information they share online. The website evaluates visitor’s Facebook profile and gives it a simple score that anyone can use as a guideline to managing their Facebook privacy settings. Visitors to the site can also see in one spot all of the information they are sharing with strangers online.

Recent changes to Facebook’s privacy statements and terms of service have caused many Facebook customers to feel exposed and unsure of what level of sharing is appropriate. Things are made even more difficult for less technologically savvy users who do not understand the many privacy options they are supposed to keep track of. This has lead some users to completely disable and even delete their Facebook accounts to protect their online safety.

ProfileWatch.org hopes to correct that imbalance by providing a simple way for computer novices and experts alike to examine and evaluate their online privacy settings.

About Profile Watch:
