U.S. Foodservice today announced that Meredith Neizer has been promoted to the position of senior vice president, Operations. She will oversee three critical corporate functions of operations, safety and logistics and will report to Stuart Schuette, chief operating officer.
“Meredith is a seasoned executive and has spent her entire career in the global logistics industry.” Schuette said. “She has an in-depth knowledge of the foodservice distribution industry and is committed to strengthening our company’s culture of safety as an integral part of our drive to keep employees safe and achieve the highest levels of efficiency and customer service.”
Neizer joined U.S. Foodservice in 2008 as president of Alliant Logistics, after holding senior positions at Reyes Holdings, a beverage and foodservice distribution company and at Maersk-Sealand, a leading global shipping company. Neizer holds a B.S. (Honors) from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Currently, she serves on the Academy advisory board. She was awarded a White House Fellowship in 1986 working for the Secretary of Defense, and she has served as a political appointee at federal and state levels.
