Columbus, OH (PRWEB) May 20, 2010
Health Care Data Works, Inc. (HCD) today announced Dave Garets has joined their Board of Directors. In this role he will provide guidance to HCD as they use their technology to help health systems across the country build Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) and use cutting edge Business Intelligence (BI) visualization tools to enable decision-making and achieve better results. Dave joins Ray Shealy and Jeff Wilkins as members of HCD’s Board of Directors.
“As Health Systems complete their EMR implementations, they are realizing that there are few good tools available to them that allow access to information across multiple transactional systems” said Dave Garets, formerly the President and CEO of HIMSS Analytics. “The team at HCD, with their roots at Ohio State University Medical Center (OSUMC), has spent the last decade creating technology that enables an organization to rapidly build an EDW that enables decision making.”
“Dave brings 30 years of experience working in Healthcare and probably knows more about where Healthcare IT is headed than anyone in the industry” said Herb Smaltz, CEO of HCD and former CIO of OSUMC. “We are excited to have his guidance as we provide health systems with the tools they need to rapidly implement EDW & BI strategies.”
