The more ScholarshipPoints members we have, the more scholarship money we will be able to award over time
Quincy, MA (Vocus) May 20, 2010
ScholarshipPoints (http://www.scholarshippoints.com ), an Edvisors online education company, recently reached a membership of one million, with over 500,000 members joining in the last six months. ScholarshipPoints is a free college scholarship program working to defray the ever-increasing cost of college for students. Since 2007 the site has grown from a membership of 10,000 with registration rates increasing monthly. This most recent milestone makes ScholarshipPoints the fastest growing college scholarship rewards program in both membership and scholarship funds.
After awarding students a total of $75,000 in 2009, ScholarshipPoints increased it’s commitment to students and is positioned to give away up to $100,000 this year including five $10,000 giveaways. In addition to the $10,000 scholarship drawings, the ScholarshipPoints program gives away a number of $500, $1,000 and $2,500 sponsored scholarships throughout the year.
With the ScholarshipPoints membership growing so quickly, the site has been able to extend a growing number of scholarship offers. “The more ScholarshipPoints members we have, the more scholarship money we will be able to award over time,” said Joe Cronin, CEO of Edvisors. “Awarding scholarships to students helps us fulfill our mission of better educating the world.”
ScholarshipPoints is constantly striving to provide members not only with scholarship funds, but also with the information and tools they need to succeed academically and save money while in college. By taking advantage of everything ScholarshipPoints has to offer, students can learn how to apply for a private student loan, about taking classes online and how to use credit responsibly. ScholarshipPoints has also partnered with organizations that help students find internships, study abroad programs, and save money on textbooks.
The next $10,000 scholarship winner will be drawn on June 15. Students have until June 14, 2010 to enter. To enter the June 15, $10,000 giveaway, and for announcements about other scholarships and promotions, visit http://www.ScholarshipPoints.com.
