Book Your Vacation, Gift of Travel Makes a Donation. Through Gift of Travel (http://www.giftoftravel.com), a vacation now generates a donation to a non-profit at no extra cost to the traveler. Travelers can enjoy their vacation knowing they are helping to support a non-profit. Every time a Gift of Travel package is booked, donations are made to help support kids, causes and communities everywhere!

“Gift of Travel uses the force of consumerism by taking a product consumers were likely to purchase anyway, a vacation, to generate a donation to a non-profit at no extra cost to the consumer.” — Nancy Williams, Founder, Gift of Travel

Gift of Travel (http://www.giftoftravel.com) announces the launch of its new Travel as a Fundraiser™ tool for non-profits and charitable organizations.

Gift of Travel’s unique Travel as a Fundraiser™ tool meets the needs of both a growing segment of the non-profit community seeking innovative fundraising ideas, as well as for consumers who like the idea of helping to support a non-profit organization simply by
taking a vacation.

Gift of Travel is the first company to focus exclusively on offering travel as a fundraising tool to multiple non-profits. The Travel as a Fundraiser™ tool provides non-profits a passive and fun way for their supporters, staff and volunteers to generate revenue for the non-profit without having to write a donation check.

Non-profits who sign up through Gift of Travel’s FREE Travel as a Fundraiser™ program receive a 4% donation from Gift of Travel on vacation packages booked by their supporters through the Travel as a Fundraiser™ program.

Nancy Williams, Managing Director, started Gift of Travel in 2009 after selling her travel company of 15 years, HoneyLuna, the Honeymoon Registry Service.

“After I sold my travel business, I gave serious thought to what I love doing and where I could channel my energy.” says Williams. “I have always been involved in raising money for different organizations and I volunteer my time for several non-profits.”

What she realized was that the organizations she was working so hard to support were really hurting financially. Thinking about her passions and her experience, she hit upon the idea for her business - combining travel with fundraising.

“Gift of Travel creates a new revenue stream for non-profits by taking a product consumers were likely to purchase anyway, a vacation, to generate a donation to a non-profit at no extra cost to the consumer.” says Williams, “A 4% donation on a $5000 family vacation to Hawaii is $200. That really adds up!”

Gift of Travel has already signed up many local and national non-profits such as the Breast Cancer Fund, the Wounded Warrior Project, Friends of the World Food Program, and local non-profits such Little Smiles in Philadelphia, PA, and InnVision the Way Home in San Jose, CA, supporting homeless.

These non-profits are also promoted on the Gift of Travel site where consumers not affiliated with a non-profit can book their travel and select a participating non-profit to benefit from their vacation’s Gift of Travel donation. (http://www.giftoftravel.com/partners)

Gift of Travel has chosen Apple Vacations and AMAWATERWAYS as their travel product providers. Says Williams, “For more than 40 years, millions of vacationers have put their trust in Apple Vacations. Apple offers a broad range of competitively priced vacations and are known for their outstanding customer service. In addition, both companies are also committed to philanthropy and the give back” concept of Gift of Travel.”

Non-profits of any size, from small private schools to large national organizations can benefit from the Travel as a Fundraiser program™. Given the drop in donations to non-profits and cuts in government programs Nancy believes the time has come for Gift of Travel’s Travel as a Fundraiser program. –
