Yamaha Keyboard Division introduces the Piaggero Series of ultraportable digital pianos, the NP-V60 and NP-V80. Combining the term piano and leggero, Italian for “light,” these new 76-key portable keyboards emphasize portability, interactive features and piano Voice quality.
“With the evolution of portable keyboards over the years, manufacturers have been packing in more and more features, like 76 keys and hundreds of Styles and Voices,” said Dane Madsen, marketing manager, Yamaha Electronic Keyboards. “With that, the products have gotten bigger and bigger. Now with our Piaggero line, not only have we made the size slimmer and lighter, but we’ve also streamlined the interface to be as inviting and intuitive to pianists as possible.”
Featuring the Graded Soft Touch keyboard action, the NP-V60 and NP-V80 are the perfect musical tools for when space is at a minimum and the player requires mobility. Exclusive Yamaha Style content helps users enjoy the experience of playing with an ensemble, and the USB-TO-HOST port connects directly to any MAC or PC for an array of musical applications. Both models weigh under 16 pounds, include 361 XGlite instrument Voices and feature 30 internal songs for use with the Performance Assistant function and lessons.
The NP-V80 features an Intelligent Arpeggiator, which tailors keyboard grooves to the sound of the player’s choice. Simply select a Voice and play a chord – the arpeggiator does the rest and makes you sound like a pro. The NP-V80 also comes with USB-TO-DEVICE port for saving and loading song content, an enhanced speaker system and a footswitch/sustain pedal.
The NP-V60 and NP-V80 (MSRP: $499.00 and $599.00 respectively) are expected to ship in June 2010.
