MMAR Medical to Offer ArchAngels Orthotic Products for Children

Share Article

MMAR Medical will begin offering ArchAngels foot arch support products for toddlers and children to its customers.

We wanted to bring a product to market that would support the needs of a growing child's feet, could be used in any enclosed shoe, and can stand up to the demands of active kids. More importantly, we wanted to give parents an alternative to expensive custom insoles that children outgrow so quickly.

News Details:
As of May 2010, MMAR Medical will be offering a line of orthotic products for children between 2 and 10 years of age via their website to healthcare providers and parents.
MMAR's Arch Angels product line consists of affordable, over-the-counter foot care products for children and teens. These are a great alternative to buying expensive custom orthotics that a child will quickly outgrow.

This is a natural product line extension, as MMAR Medical currently carries adult orthotics and insoles and the doctors/podiatrists/foot specialists that purchase these materials also treat children with foot problems.

The purpose of this product line is to improve children's health/comfort and decrease childhood foot or ankle pain.

By providing orthotic products for developing feet that are available over-the-counter at a lower price point, these orthotics fill an unmet need in the children's foot care market.

About ArchAngels®:
Arch Angels® is a line of orthotic products for children who suffer from common podiatric issues such as flat footedness and in- or out-toe gait, and are the first comfort insole and arch support on the market specifically designed to address the special needs of growing feet.

Arch Angels® were designed by two doctors with several features specific to pediatric foot development: a contoured heel cup and neutral rear foot post provide stability, and a patented arch design that gradually increases in height to support the developing foot.

Arch Angels® has a tri-layered design that provides an outer cushioning layer for comfort, and a flexible, firmer inner layer provides support. Their ¾ length size makes fitting easy and Arch Angels® are removable. Arch Angels® are currently available in sizes that fit children's shoes Toddler 6 through Youth 3.

Arch Angels® can be used to help treat a number of common pediatric foot conditions. The three most common visually recognizable problems with healthy children's feet are pediatric flat foot, in-toe gait, and out-toe gait. Pediatric flat foot occurs when the child's arch is absent or diminished. In-toe and out-toe gaits refer to the angle of the foot being internally or externally rotated to too great a degree, which can cause tripping or fatigue.
