Program Demonstrates College’s Investment in its Students’ Careers

NTT College of Skilled Trades is offering students a financing package whereby, subject to program terms and conditions, they can defer 50% of their tuition until they have secured a job. Through its “50/50 Commitment,” the College becomes a partner in its students’ education and career, helping students get the skills employers are demanding now, as well as secure a job and succeed professionally.

The College, which is launching its inaugural program in Industrial Electricity this summer, is the higher education arm of NTT Inc., a leader in industrial training for more than 25 years. NTT Inc.’s decades of service to the commercial and industrial business community has cultivated a vast network of employers that can serve as a potential network of employers for future graduates of the College.

“Our model is based upon efficient, relevant training in high demand fields where students can secure employment and thrive,” said Dr. Howard Block, director of NTT College of Skilled Trades. “Some might say we are answering the bell rung by the Federal Department of Education for programs that provide a cost-effective path to gainful employment.”

Block continued, “Our 50/50 Commitment program takes the concept of gainful employment to the next level – we are committed to and have a vested interest in our students’ success both during and after the program. The skills they earn will put them in a position to be gainfully employed.”

The College enables students to gain targeted skills in as little as six months, as opposed to traditional two and four year programs. The programs deliver intensive, hands-on education taught by instructors who average 25 years of relevant field experience and who can share a multitude of real-world scenarios.
