About the Author
Prof Daniel N. Erasmus was born in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, in 1962. He qualified as an attorney and was admitted to practice as an attorney of the high court in 1987 in South Africa. He specialized in tax law, dealing mostly with multinational corporations and their dealings with the tax authorities world-wide. He commenced practicing in 1993 for http://www.TaxRiskManagement.com also known as TRM Daniel Erasmus Attorneys, a successful multidisciplinary international tax consulting firm, operating on 3 continents. He is an adjunct Professor of Law at Thomas Jefferson School of Law (San Diego, California), where he teaches International Tax Planning, Tax Risk Management, Tax Administration and Tax Controversy.
This is the seventh book published by the author. The first was on VAT, the second on Capital Gains Tax, the third, was on Exchange Control and Tax Amnesty in South Africa, followed by the first edition of this publication, a short children’s story (also published by Xlibris under the name Dine Notbly), and he co-authored the recently published International Tax Handbook, IBFD Tax Risk Management: From Risk to Opportunity. The author resides alternately between Atlanta, South Africa, and Florida, USA. He is a cyclist, an avid amateur artist, photographer, and a permanent student of tax and its side avenues.
