“As soon as we were contacted about this event, we knew we had to be involved in some way." - Pete Curcio, Manager for Mexico & Latin America, Andersen Windows

Kallman Worldwide, Inc. is pleased to announce today that CNN Chile, El Mercurio, emol, and BN Americas have all joined Rebuild Chile Expo as media partners and will be participating before, during and after the Expo. Furthermore, with the addition of the following new exhibitors - Advocate Christ Medical Center, Andersen Windows, 84 Lumber, Harbor Homes, Lowe’s, and Motorola, Rebuild Chile Expo is currently 50% sold out with an additional 20% on reserve. The participation of such well-known and respected U.S. companies and media partners is a clear indication of the importance of this trade event and highlights the potential investment opportunities for American companies. According to Pete Curcio, Manager for Mexico and Latin America, Andersen Windows, “As soon as we were contacted about this event, we knew we had to be involved in some way. It seemed like a perfect fit for Andersen Windows and Eagle Windows and Doors, an Andersen Company. Chile needs new windows and doors and we are capable of producing over 6 million doors and windows a year”. During the Exposition and particularly the conference program, Curcio is optimistic that he will be able to establish not only interim business relationships with local suppliers and government agencies, but will be able to forge long-term business relationships as the reconstruction plan continues to unfold.

According to Tom Kallman, “The conference program, which will be held over a two day period, will give attendees the opportunity to meet and interact with key government officials and private sector individuals responsible for carrying out President Piñera’s reconstruction plan”. The conference at Rebuild Chile Expowill cover topics such as the roles of both the U.S. Department of Commerce and Chilean Government in the Rebuild Process; Rebuilding the Infrastructure; Regional Focus: Current Situation and Identified Priorities; Housing, Public Works and Infrastructure – Building Codes and Other Challenges; Focus on Finance; Rebuilding GREEN; Focus on Defense; and the Telecommunications Plan. These topics have attracted key speakers from the Ministries of Finance, Energy, Health, Housing, Interior, Public Works, Transportation and Telecommunications and the Committee for Reconstruction. In addition to the Official Conference Program, many exhibitors will be offering complimentary presentations throughout the 3 day Expo.

Further evidence of the importance of Rebuild Chile Expo can be seen by the level of VIP delegates who are scheduled to participate in the Exposition and Conference. The key government officials expected to attend Rebuild Chile Expo are Sebastián Piñera, President of Chile; Paul Simons, U.S. Ambassador to Chile; Walter Bastian, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Market Access & Compliance; Ricardo Garcia, President, AmCham Chile; Jacqueline van Rysselberghe, Intendenta of the Biobío Region; Rodrigo Galilea Vial, Intendente of the Maule Region; Rodrigo Pérez Mackenna, Intendente of the O’Higgins Region; Magdalena Matte, Ministry of Housing; and Tom Kallman, President & CEO Kallman Worldwide. In a letter from Ambassador Paul Simons, he urged all U.S. companies to take part in this initiative and showcase the role that they can play in Chile’s rebuilding and recovery program. Additionally, Simons wrote, “I recommend you participate in Rebuild Chile Expo…This event has been designed to give you the opportunity to showcase your company’s technology and to hear directly from the national and regional government agencies that are drafting plans for Chile’s reconstruction effort. This event..supports broader U.S. objectives of expanding trade and investment…and bolsters President Obama’s pledge to support Chile in its ambitious efforts to recover.”
