Boomi®, the Integration Cloud Company™, today announced that Rick Nucci, Boomi’s founder and CTO, will participate in a panel discussion on cloud computing at the Gluecon 2010 conference on Wednesday, May 26 in Denver, Colorado. Rick’s portion of the panel will focus on how the latest trends in cloud integration are impacting companies in 2010 and moving forward. Each panelist has been asked to address a different foundational topic for the conference, setting the stage for the rest of the event. Additional topics to be addressed during the panel are: The Open Web, Cloud Platforms, and Securing the Cloud. Rick will also lead a stand-alone session on cloud integration on Thursday, May 27.
Gluecon is the only conference devoted solely to issues addressing web application integration. Attendees include developers, administrators, architects and integrators who are on the front lines trying to develop a web strategy that incorporates and integrates various cloud and on-premise applications seamlessly. Gluecon focuses on the solutions that help the industry glue together the varying applications of the new cloud platform.
“We are honored to be selected for the second year in a row to speak at such a prominent conference in the SaaS and cloud computing space,” Nucci said. “Boomi is helping to lead innovation in the cloud industry and that message is really starting to resonate. The theme at Gluecon last year was whether or not to move to the cloud. This year we are past that discussion and the conversation has moved forward to focus on the practical steps needed to make cloud computing effective: scalability, integration, security, etc. Boomi will continue to lead this next phase.”
Boomi’s continued innovation and leadership within the cloud computing industry has been showcased at four key industry events this year. In addition to Rick’s upcoming speaking slot at Gluecon, Boomi was selected to speak at SaaS University: Dallas in January, CloudSlam in March, ebizQ’s virtual Cloud QCamp conference in April, and the Software & Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) All About the Cloud Conference earlier in May.
