Chef Sterk does it all. He brings his culinary talents and passion for healthy eating, outstanding service and international flair to the Hilton Stamford.

The Hilton Stamford Hotel & Executive Meeting Center – set to become the gateway to the burgeoning development on Stamford’s East Side – is introducing Executive Chef Harald Sterk as an integral part of its plan to become the area’s newest place to meet and dine and the epicenter for meetings, conferences and social events.

Chef Sterk’s offerings are healthy, creative and diverse – from fresh, simple salads, to Kobe Filet Mignon and Chilean Sea Bass, and delectable Chocolate Opus Cake – and with menus that reflect national and international cuisine that can match any dietary, ethnic or religious requirement.

With his arrival, the Hilton Stamford is debuting special seasonal salads and fare in its recently refurbished Senses Restaurant including Wednesday “Prime Rib Night” for $19 per person, all-you-can-eat and carved to order. Senses serves creative American fare and some of the area’s most legendary buffets, along with suggested wines from an extensive list.

Chef Sterk, a native of Trier, Germany, was formerly with Vista International and has an impressive background that includes decades of work in Europe for Hilton International and tenure at some of the world’s finest hotels. In addition, he has trained under and was inspired by Chef Paul Prudhomme, and earned rave reviews and awards at the New York and Chicago Food Shows and prestigious Wiser Culinary Classic.

“I am excited about my new position with the Hilton Stamford and the model I will create using organic and healthy foods fresh from farm-to-table, and the purest ingredients,” said Chef Sterk. “My team and I welcome the community to sample our creative dining options for special occasions and world-class banquets and events.”

Indeed, Chef Sterk and his team are adept at executing myriad functions, from small executive meetings and intimate dinners, to stylish cocktail parties and large-scale galas.
