Managed File Transfer Solutions achieve FIPS 140-2 Level Certification

The bTrade Security Module is now available for government organizations requiring validated security standards, says Steve Zapata, President and CEO of bTrade.

bTrade announced today that the company’s Managed File Transfer solutions have received industry certification for cryptography. The bTrade Managed File Transfer solutions have received the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 (Level 1) validation, a requirement for any cryptographic module that will be used by a U.S. government department or agency. The bTrade Security Module meets the Federal Information Processing Standards and can now be selected and deployed by government agencies and their commercial and institutional business partners.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has created the FIPS guidelines to provide stringent third-party assurance of security claims on any product containing cryptography that may be purchased by a government agency. The following bTrade solutions use the approved bTtrade Security Module that has been awarded the FIPS 140-2 Validation:
