EverythingMonkeys.com co-sponsored the first annual Monkey Run 5K held Sunday, May 23rd in Snohomish, WA on the Centennial Trail. This was the first race sponsored by the company, and the theme couldn’t have been a more fitting one. A booth was set up at the event to showcase the many monkey related products available at Everything Monkeys and garnered a large amount of attention from the attendees, some snatching up merchandise to bring with them during the race to show off their monkey flair.

The Monkey Run benefits the Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue. Everything Monkeys provided plush monkeys to the top finalists as well as pledged 10% of booth sales to go to SCVSAR.

The event was forecast for fair weather but instead ended up wet and cold, not surprising for the Pacific Northwest. Despite the weather, the excitement and energy around the Everything Monkeys booth was high. “I was happy to see so many other monkey enthusiasts out there,” said April Smith, founder of Everything Monkeys.

Smith started Everything Monkeys in September 2009.
