EBI Consulting, a leader in creating business value through sustainable environmental management, announced that John P. Lawton’s experience in sales, marketing, management consulting and executive management spans 21 years of increasing responsibility at Clean Harbors.

Lawton joined Clean Harbors in 1989 when it was an entrepreneurial start-up and has been instrumental in their growth into a $1 billion publicly held industry leader. In addition to holding several executive sales and marketing positions, Lawton was President of Clean Harbors’ environmental health and safety management consulting and information technology business. He will capitalize on this experience to deliver exciting new and enhanced services to EBI clients.

In his new role at EBI, Lawton will lead high-performing sales, marketing and operations teams, developing and implementing national vertical marketing strategies in the key industries that EBI today serves regionally, accelerating EBI’s already rapid growth and expanding EBI’s diverse base of premiere clients.

Founded in 1989, EBI was recognized in 2006 as one of the nation’s top 50 fastest growing environmental firms by The Zweig Letter. The company is on track to grow by more than 30% in 2010.

"Having an insider’s view of the environmental industry for the past 21 years made joining EBI an easy decision,” said Lawton. “The company is well known for its strong technical capabilities, business-driven solutions and uncompromising integrity. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to help drive EBI’s future growth.”
