CareSouth, In Partnership With Houston Healthcare, Granted Medicare Certification for Home Health Care Branch Office in Warner Robins, Georgia.

CareSouth, in partnership with Houston Healthcare, today announced that they have been granted Medicare certification for a home health care branch office in Warner Robins by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The office will be located across the street from Houston Medical Center at 1532 Watson Boulevard and will open in early July. The announcement was made today by CareSouth President and Chief Executive Officer, Rick Griffin.

“This branch opening marks the beginning of what we know will be an essential and beneficial partnership for the Houston County community,” says Griffin. “Providing appropriate in-home care after recovering from serious illness or injury reduces the frequency of hospital readmissions and offers a valuable service to our aging and chronically ill population.”

The partnership between CareSouth and Houston Healthcare, which began in May for the Houston Medical Center campus, was formed to provide improved access to care and coordination of care for Houston Healthcare patients and their families.

“Home Care was one of the areas we saw as a need and potential option when we reorganized from a Hospital Authority to a private not-for-profit system last year,” said Sonny Watson, Chairman, Houston Healthcare System Board of Directors, in Houston Healthcare’s initial press release of April 28. “I am pleased Houston Healthcare will now have the ability to offer home care services to our patients and their families through our partnership with CareSouth.”
