Sounds of Many Waters by John De Silva has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Have you ever wanted to travel the world, meet new people, and experience new things? John De Silva chose a life on the sea, which allowed him to meet many influential people and visit many places around the globe. His journey of life was not all clear skies and smooth sailing, however. John met many storm clouds along the way, including the death of his father, struggles in passing his exams, marital problems, unsafe sailing conditions, and unruly crew members.

Through it all, John learned to rely on his faith in God. God always found a way to pull him through his trials, eventually leading him to a successful sailing career, marine survey business, and marital life. Sounds of Many Waters details the stories of John De Silva’s life at sea and in Sri Lanka, as he explores his deep faith in the power of God.

A native of Sri Lanka, John De Silva now lives in Long Island City, New York, with his wife, Subitha and children. During his working life, John was a merchant ship’s captain and marine surveyor. He earned his high school certificate at St. Joseph’s College in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and his Master Mariner Class 1 at Sydney Maritime College in Australia. John has been a member of the Company of Master Mariners of Sri Lanka since May of 1991. In his spare time, John enjoys music, reading, and writing. In addition to Sounds of Many Waters, John De Silva has published Through Deep Waters.

Sounds of Many Waters is a 252-page paperback with a retail price of $19.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4349-0470-6, paperback. It was published by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
