Established in 1935, Oregon Fruit Products Co. is a third-generation family owned company nestled in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley. The company packs specialty fruit including boysenberries, marion blackberries, cherries, raspberries and blueberries.

Oregon Fruit Products Company was established in 1935 with a focus on canned specialty fruits. The Gehlar family started their business selling dried fruit and then moved to the convenience of canned products. Today, the company is still family-owned, and those products ship to markets worldwide, including Japan, China, Australia and the Philippines. A new frozen product called Berry Up! was recently launched for Foodservice.

“We’re telling the Oregon story with every bite and every sip of our products,” said Erin Johansen, National Sales Manager. “Everyone’s talking about fruit these days, about super foods and getting the most bang for your nutritional buck.” John Doyle, National Director/Foodservice said, “Real fruit is in demand now as people move toward a healthier lifestyle.”

Crafting the story of Oregon Fruit Products involves a great deal of listening. A new blog started late last year at http://www.blog.oregonfruit.com. New conversations have been initiated on twitter—http://www.twitter.com/oregonfruit and Facebook http://is.gd/c4N8k.

“We intend to step further and further out on the communication limb. But isn’t that where all the good fruit is?”
