Hertz Investment Group, one of the largest fully-integrated real estate investment companies in North America, detailed today some of the most recent improvements it has been making at its Regions Center property in the city of Jackson – Mississippi’s state capital.

Said Gary Horwitz, President of Hertz Investment Group: “For the current round of upgrades at Regions Center, we have chosen the award-winning architectural firm of Dale & Associates Architects, Jackson’s largest. This next phase, to be started in June of this year, will include improvements to the first floor of the retail mall at Regions Center, along with the common area on the second floor, the lobby of the parking garage, plus the elevators for both the garage and the Center’s Regions Plaza office building. Our total improvements to this excellent property over time will quickly reach a multi-million dollar figure.”

Said John Michael Holtmann of Duckworth Realty, the exclusive leasing agency for Regions Center: “Since January, we have added four new businesses to Regions and we are currently working with several additional groups that have expressed great interest. The decision by Hertz Investment Group to invest capital to preserve this Class A facility reinforces their long term commitment to Regions Plaza.”

Added new Regions Plaza tenant Hayes Dent, President of Hayes Dent Public Strategies: “The Plaza building at Regions Center is a perfect fit for us as both our business and our need for entertaining and housing clients grow. The center of gravity for business and political activity in Mississippi is downtown Jackson. The enhancements that are underway will continue to keep the Regions Plaza at the very heart of all that.”

Among the newest upgrades to Regions Center:

  • Italian porcelain floor tiles for the ground floor of the retail corridor, with a combination of polished granite insets.
  • Mahogany pilasters that will “float” on the marble columns along the retail corridor, with new wall light sconces that will accent the pilasters.
  • Coffered ceilings in the retail corridor, featuring large pendant light fixtures and acoustic ceiling tile above new contemporary seating arrangements.
  • Anigre wood panels and new carpeting for the plaza and parking-structure elevator cabs.
  • New wall covering, carpet and porcelain floor tile throughout the second floor from the parking garage lobby and corridor to the Marriott and Amite Street crosswalk.
  • A new, thoroughly modern unisex restroom in the second-floor common area with hands-free, automated fixtures.
