Synaptris, today announced that Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd, a Nagarjuna Group Company, has entered into an Enterprise Licensing Agreement (ELA) for FewClix, the new email productivity add on for the Lotus Notes Client, while still in Beta.

Since its Beta launch at Lotusphere in January 2010, FewClix has established a large and active user base of beta users with many companies already evaluating deployment to employees throughout their organizations.

The Nagarjuna Group is one of the largest industrial groups in India, with an asset base of more than $1 Billion, revenues of over $670 Million and a workforce of 3,500 employees. It has a significant presence in Agriculture for Crop Nutrition and Crop Protection apart from Power Generation and Refining.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers is licensing FewClix for broad corporate deployment in a phased manner to all its users of the IBM Lotus Notes Client. It expects that FewClix will enable users to reduce the amount of time that they spend with email on a daily basis, improving productivity for employees across the business.

"We were part of the FewClix Enterprise Beta Program and were very impressed with its ability to increase enterprise productivity. The trial deployment to a limited user base of both high and low volume email users demonstrated that FewClix delivers time savings of at least 15 minutes a day per user. Even based on a conservative estimate of savings of 5 minutes per employee, we expect to achieve 100% ROI (Return on Investment) in less than 150 days," said V. Srinivas, Chief Information & Technology Officer, Nagarjuna Fertilizers.

This ELA is a significant milestone for FewClix, which is the first email productivity application that gives email users the ability to:

  •     Prioritize email
  •     Quickly and easily locate any message in the mailbox or any archive instantly
  •     Access information across the mailbox and archives simultaneously
  •     Personalize the email experience to work more efficiently
  •     Organize email more effectively for clearing clutter or archiving messages
  •     Extend social networks dynamically via the email network

"It is a great feeling to announce an enterprise deployment for FewClix less than 4 months from the launch of the beta and prior to general availability. The fact that the majority of Nagarjuna Fertilizers' users are low volume email users makes this a very significant win and validates the business case for enterprise-wide deployment of FewClix even in low volume email usage scenarios," said Madan S. Kumar, CEO of Synaptris.
