Music lovers can now discover and listen to live concert recordings via their TVs thanks to today's launch of Wolfgang's Vault on Boxee. The new app mixes the magic of the Wolfgang's Vault vintage concert archive and Boxee's breakthrough software to bring entertainment from the Internet to the TV. The partnership makes the most sought-after archive of concert recordings accessible on demand on the televisions of over one million Boxee users. To celebrate the app release, Wolfgang's Vault new offerings include Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Berkeley Community Theater from May 30, 1970 available via the Wolfgang's Vault App for Boxee.

The Wolfgang's Vault app delivers a huge archive of concerts from the world's biggest bands in their most acclaimed performances at venues like The Fillmore, The Winterland and historic rock, jazz, and country festivals of the past. The app provides access to the complete catalogue of music from WolfgangsVault.com.

Wolfgang's Vault President Eric Johnson was overheard screaming over his desktop concert streams: "Our goal is to make Wolfgang's Vault accessible in the most convenient manner for our users. This means partnering with leading platforms, and Boxee was an obvious choice to create an awesome experience for Wolfgang's Vault in the living room."

For Boxee users, the partnership with Wolfgang's Vault expands their streaming music options to include a deep catalogue of on-demand live concerts from rock, jazz, indie, blues, metal musicians and more. Fans of indie music can rock out as well with sessions from Daytrotter, featuring Death Cab For Cutie, Ani DiFranco, Sean Hayes and Vampire Weekend, just as easily as the great performances of the legendary bands in Wolfgang's Vault which are too numerous to mention.

"We continually strive to make Boxee a place where people discover great culture," said Boxee CEO Avner Ronen during a recent jam session on his iPad. "Since Wolfgang's Vault is synonymous with much of America's great music culture, we couldn't be happier to welcome them to the growing family of apps on Boxee."

Experience Wolfgang's Vault in your living room by downloading Boxee to your Mac, Windows, or Linux computer and connecting it to your TV with an inexpensive cord. Please consider providing your neighbors earplugs before you do.
