Spiffy Press letterpress greeting cards can now be found in fine stationery stores in New York City and Chicago. This is a significant milestone in the letterpress company’s short history, having just opened it’s doors and launched it’s website, http://www.spiffypress.com, in October 2009.
In Chicago, letterpress enthusiasts, and those who love all things hand-made, will find a variety of Spiffy Press’ Text Lingo designs at Orange Beautiful’s recently opened store on Damen Avenue. This charming shop offers a variety of artistic, hand-made goods, from purses to notebooks and lots of letterpress. Orange Beautiful also carries the Mom Tattoo, Lucky in Love, and the brand-new Nerd design that blends turn-of-the-century type with modern jargon. “It sounds cliché, but I’m truly honored to be associated with these amazing stores,” says Scott Wallin, Owner, Spiffy Press. “They each have distinct styles and seek to deliver fresh designs to their audiences. That’s exactly what we aim to do with Spiffy Press.”
This week, the Simple + Pretty blog cited Spiffy Press’ cards after spotting them in the Kate’s Paperie Manhattan store. Blogger Jane said, “Scott Wallin, and his love for letterpress + design shine with these graphic, colorful notecards. (I) was happy to see clever and bold work at their website.” (http://simple-pretty.com/2010/05/26/spiffy-press/) She went on to say “Don’t miss the Spiffy mailing list: signing up gives you a chance to win their monthly letterpress giveaway!” (http://www.spiffypress.com/signup.html)
In addition to clever birthday, thank you and everyday letterpress cards, design fans will find a full line of personalized letterpress holiday cards to choose from. Custom letterpress business stationery and letterpress wedding invitations are also available.
